Teacher - Jocelyn Andis

Jocelyn Andis has a Bachelor of Science in Math Education from SWOSU. She started teaching in 1995 and has served as Math Dept. Head, Jr. Class Sponsor, Prom/Cheer Coordinator, and Math Leader Program Rep. Mrs. Andis was Yukon Public Schools District Teacher of the Year, Yukon High School Teacher of the Year, and Lakeview Middle School Teacher of the Year. She started teaching at Yukon Alternative School in 2013. Mrs. Andis’ educational philosophy is it is her desire as an educator to help students meet their fullest potential by providing an environment that is safe and loving, supports risk-taking, and invites a sharing of ideas.

Teacher - Emma Grachik

Emma Grachik has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Adams State College in Colorado. She obtained her Masters in Education Administration from UCO in 2004. Mrs. Grachik has taught at YALE for the past twenty years. She believes her experience at YALE has given her a valued, much appreciated encounter with many remarkable students. She hopes she has made a difference in her student’s lives as they have made a difference in hers. Teacher - Cecilia Ray

Cecilia Ray started at Yukon Alternative School in 2008. Mrs. Ray graduated from OBU with a BA in Business and obtained her Alternative Teaching Certificate in Intermediate Math. Mrs. Ray’s teaching philosophy is it is my desire to create a safe environment with stability and encouragement where students can discover their full potential, both academically and socially. I am constantly learning from my students and colleagues, so my strategies and teaching ideas may change over time as we are all works in progress. maria

Teacher - Maria Schoen

Maria Schoen has a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Carroll College University in Helena, Montana. Mrs. Schoen has 15 years of teaching experience in 3 states. She has taught kindergarten through high school. Maria is certified to teach Elementary Education, High School Math, and Middle School and High School English. Maria started teaching at YALE in 2017. Maria’s philosophy in education is: Children are our future, and as a teacher I change the world one student at a time. I believe that building a love of learning in students starts with cultivating a relationship with students. Teacher - Russell Stone

Russell Stone graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma in the fall of 2014 and received his Masters of Educational Leadership in July of 2018. Mr. Stone has taught Algebra at Piedmont and Perry public schools before starting at Yukon Alternative school in August of 2017. During his time at Yale he has helped start the M.O.V.E program along with teaching his afternoon alternative education class. Mr. Stone’s educational philosophy is that all students can succeed. lora

Classroom Assistant - Lora Chambers

Lora Chambers has worked in the Yukon Public School district for approximately 6 years. She served as a helping hand at Independence and Parkland Elementary schools. She also worked as a classroom aide and mentor at Parkland Elementary School. She started working at the Yukon Alternative School as a Classroom Assistant in December of 2018. She gets great satisfaction from working with the students and staff at Yale. Mrs. Chamber’s educational philosophy is no significant learning occurs without a significant relationship.

Classroom Assistant - Susie Childers

Susie Childers has a Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science from Oklahoma State University. Mrs. Childers served as a helping hand at Central Elementary for 12 years. . She was also a mentor to three students while at Central. Mrs. Childers worked as a Library Aide, Kindergarten Aide and a Special Ed Aide as well as a substitute teacher at Central Elementary for seven years. Mrs. Childers has worked as a Classroom Assistant at Yukon Alternative School for the last 6 years. She enjoys the interaction with the students and has remained in contact with many of the students that she has had at Yale. marvina Classroom Assistant - Marvina Colvin Marvina Colvin has a Paraprofessional certification. She has worked as a Case Manager at Big Brothers and Sisters for two years. She has three years experience as a Paraprofessional. Mrs. Colvin has served as Classroom Assistant at YALE for the past two years. Mrs. Colvin believes building relationships and accepting the students where they are is necessary to help each student find success.
